The Original lighthouse was built in 1797, torn down in 1857 and the present tower erected. It stands on a cliff 140 ft. above sea level, and is the second most powerful light on the Atlantic Coast.

Charlotte Genesee Lighthouse

This is the first postcard I produced.

CAPTION: Built in 1822, the Charlotte-Genesee Lighthouse is 40-feet high; the lantern room adds an additional 12-feet.  Climbing to the top will allow you a beautiful view of the surrounding area.
