CAPTION: Overlooking beautiful Narragansett Bay, the First lighthouse was built on this site in1827. The present lighthouse was constructed in 1932, and because of damage suffered from a hurricane in 1938, it was moved inland 75 feet. It is 55 feet tall, of metal construction, and delivers 2,233 candle power.
