CAPTION: On the northernmost tip of New Jersey’s Long Beach Island, proudly stands Barnegat Light, a historic monument to the past. This view of the famous light, greets you as you enter the public parking lot. “Old Barney” appears to have an honor guard comprised of “Old Glory” on its right and the flags of New Jersy and Long Beach Island to its left.

CAPTION: “Old Barney” is the affectionate name of travelers for Barnegat Lighthouse at the edge of the bay beyond the pinewood of of magic Long Beach Island. It stands at the watery mouth of Barnegat Bay, the most famous fishing and gunning bowl in America.
MESSAGE: Where the x’s are on picture we stood and fished – Pop- Pop caught a flounder. I caught one in a row boat right near here. We are having a swell time. Billy
